When all work on the Vallo Alpino was stopped in 1943 Opera 3 was still unfinished. During the Cold War a huge casemate was added. The casemate was armed with three Sherman tanks, two MG turrets and one armoured casemate for a MG. Shown here are the remains of two Shermans. Their turrets were removed in 1992 when the last works of the Vallo Alpino were disactivated. At the background you can see the bump of the MG casemate.
