The armament of Opera II includes two MG turrets in two parts. Here you can see the shaft of one of them. Every Italian turret had a special system to evacuate a wounded crew member. With a small crane he could be hoisted down. You can see a part of the system, a small wheel, on the right. The hatch in the turret floor also has a special feature. If the wounded gunner had blocked the hatch you turn the two handles to open the hatch downwards.
