The anti-tank barrage at Pian dei Morti is fairly unique. It consists partly of a special type of barrage. At the lower points tree trunks had been driven into the ground. Since they would not resist a heavy tank they were reinforced with a concrete mantle. The top was protected by a heavy metal points. A large part of the barrage has resisted the hand of time. Some points have however been struck by lightning which severly damaged them. But nevertheless one of the most beautiful AT barrages.
