A turret of a Staghound armoured car near Dailly
After WW II the Swiss bought a number of Staghound armoured cars from the Allied stores. Some of the turrets were installed in experimental positions near Dailly. The 37 mm main gun was replaced by water-cooled MG. The positions were made of pre-fab concrete parts. Even the door was made of concrete. It seems that the idea wasn't a big success, because very few Staghound turrets were installed in permanent positions.

The Staghound designed in 1942 in the United States for the British army. It was a very advanced and robust design and therefore liked by the troops. However the 37 mm main gun was obsolent after the war and it was replaced in many armies by armoured cars with a heavier gun.
