The Swiss forts normally are quite luxurous compared to foreign contemporary defense works. However there are some cases where the conditions forced the designers to make less luxurous facilities for the crew. This is also the case in Scex. The work has only a few sleeping rooms for the entire crew. Therefore this room has a total of 120 beds on four levels. Fortunately after World War Two the crew was dimished over the years, so not all the beds were occupied.
