One of the two 10,5 cm anti-tank guns of the Ouvrage de Cindey
One of the rarest weapons of the Swiss defenses: the 10,5 cm anti-tank gun. It was based on the 10,5 cm gun model 39 which was already in use in the Swiss forts. Introduced just after World War Two it was a formidable weapon at those days, capable of penetrating enemy tanks at long ranges. Only six of these guns were installed: two in Cindey and the remainig four in the fort Tschingel near Savatan.

The 10,5 cm anti-tank gun shared the barrel of the model 39 fortress gun which was installed in rotating turrets. The barrel was 52 calibres long giving the shell a higher velocity as in comparable guns.
