This is one of the large forts in Switzerland. Its main armament consisted of three 10,5 cm turrets and four 7,5 cm guns. In the sixties two 8,1 cm fortress mortars were added. To supply all the necessary power the fort has three Sulzer diesels of 280 hp. For the Maginot freaks, the same engines were installed in Simserhof.
