To test the concept of the four Bison batteries the Swiss army built two casemates near Halsegg. Instead of the powerful 155 mm guns they were equipped with WW2-vintage 105 mm guns that had been removed from an other fort. Although the concept was approved the casemates didn't serve very long and they have been taken out of service.
