Feste Kaiser Wilhelm II was often used to test new designs, like this Panzerbeobachtungsturm 94. Only four of these observation turrets were produced of which three were installed in this Feste. The turret was equipped with an optical range finder and a pair of binoculars. When the observer had spot a target with his binoculars he had to turn the turret 180° to use his range finder.
