The artillery casemate near Ottonville was built to reinforce the relatively weak defenses in the eastern part of the sector Faulquemont. It was armed with two 75 mm guns. Although the casemate had its own observation post which you can see on the left the fire was normally directed from a post situated at the nearby Cote 400.
