Not all the STG blockhouses were badly equipped. Some received their armoured plates, like this 'trémie Pamart-Lemaigre'. This one is a little bit special. The embrasure for the 25 mm gun is closed with concrete. The reason is simple: the plate was used in the frontal observation post of this blockhouse and only the two embrasures for a light machine gun on each side and the observation opening was used. You can see that this is a real waste of these expensive armoured plates, weighting about 1,5 ton.
