The rear of the casemate
Higny was the sixth in a serie of artillery casemates for two 75 mm guns designed and built by the engineers. However the winter of 1939/'40 was very hard, so the construction didn't went according to the planning. In 1940 the casemate was not finished. Here you can see the rear with the men's entrances. The lowel level still had to be protected by an earth cover.
