Bourg St. Maurice: in 1936 the French introduced a transportable MG turret. Several were installed in the Alps, including this one near Bourg St. Maurice. It defended a bridge over the river Isère. It still has its armoured mounting for the 8 mm Hotchkiss machine gun.
