The position of Trasaghis had a single post-war MG turret. This turret had four embrasures giving an all-round field of fire. The standard weapon for these turrets was the MG42/59. In fact this was a modified MG42, the standard German machine-gun of WW II, modified to fire the 7,62 mm NATO ammunition. As you can see on the photo the turret was quite simple. The embrasures were probably closed by two curved plates. |
