Casemate de Hoffen Ouest: this is the only interval casemate in the Maginot Line that was equipped with 81 mm mortars (The others were all installed in the works). The reason for this is simple. This casemate also had to become part of a work. However due to financial restrains only two casemates were constructed while the galleries were never finished.
