One of the four generators of the work Hackenberg. The engine is a MAN design (So German) produced under a license by the French company SGCM. It had an output of 350 HP. Unfortunately the four generators were removed by the Germans during World War Two to be used in the U-boat bases on the French coast. After the war four generators were ordered which had only minor improvement with regard to the original type. The generators were paid for by the Americans. With a price equivalent to twenty-five family houses at those days you can imagine how expensive they were.
