Block 3 is the largest casemate of the work. Its main armament consisted of two twin MGs, one of them could be changed with a 47 mm gun, and two 81 mm mortars. It is special that the mortars fired in a different direction as the infantry weapons. This is quite obvious since the mortars had to covered the deep valley which runs in front of the line whereas the infantry weapons covered the plateau.
