Casemate de la route d'Ottange Centre
Ottange Centre is a so-called "casemate à cloche" which means that the main armament was placed in armoured turrets. In this case this type of casemate was built because it had to defend a road and a railway line that crossed the Maginot Line. Here you can see the rear of the casemate. On the right are two large concrete boxes. These were normally used to store mines and explosives. They would probably used to blow up the railway line in case of emergency.
