Gros ouvrage de Fermont
Gros ouvrage de Fermont: the armoured turret for a twin MG of block 4. It had to defend the area west of the work against infantry attacks. The turret had a very low silhouet, so it was very hard to hit. No turret of this type was taken out during the attacks in May/June 1940, but some were made useless as they were covered with earth by bomb explosions nearby.
