The fort is one of the twelve forts built by Brialmont at the end of the 19th century around Liege. Here the counterscarp casemate. It has two stories. If the lower embrasures were blocked by debris the guns could be installed on the upper level. Note the emergency exit on the right. Normally it was camouflaged with a brick wall.
