The twinned MG in Bātiment 1. The large mounting held two Maxim machine-guns modified to accept the Belgium 7,65 mm ammunition. In 1940 this casemate was heavily attacked by German Stuka dive bombers. One of the bombs ricocheted off an anti-tank rail in front of the casemate and exploded in the emergency exit of the block. Most of the crew were killed instantly, other died when the staircase to the underground gallery collapsed and they fell down 20 meters.
