This battery was constructed around 1889 to defend the access to the Col du Petit Mont-Cenis. The armament consisted of 9 and 12 cm guns. Unfortunately its position was dominated by French batteries, so Pattacreuse was converted into an infantry position. Between 1932 and 1935 a battery with three 75 mm guns was constructed under Pattacresue. More a photo of that battery visit my gallery of the Vallo Alpino.
