Chapels were not uncommon in the Maginot Line. Many works had one, but the one in Soetrich is most probably the best one. Here the men have decorated one of the galleries of the main ammunition magazine with a painting of the Virgin Maria with Jeanne d'Arc and Jesus. The original was damaged by the Germans, so I have changed the photo a bit.
