The entrance to the left powder magazine. Originally this room was considered to be the safest of the fort with an earth cover of 6 m. That's why many soldiers found shelter during the terrible siege of September 1914. They couldn't know that the powder magazine would never resist to a hit of a 305 mm shell. About 20 soldiers were killed from which several are still buried under the ruins.
