The commander of the fort, captain Pamart, designed two type of MG turret. The first type had one embrasure, the second improved model had two. Pamart used them also to reinforce his own fort. Of the 34 turrets of the two types installed eight were placed around Geniecourt. Seven of these turrets had one embrasure, just one had two.
