Perhaps not the best photo, but the turret is one of the most beautiful in France. It is the only remaining example of the retractable turret model 1890 with two 155 mm guns. It has a diameter of 5,50 m. and has a total weight of 550 tons. Eperon was not really a battery anymore after the numerous modifications. Its main armament consisted of four 155 mm guns, two in this turret and the others in two armoured casemates.
