75 mm gun tipo 1
The most common type of gun was the 75 mm tipo 1. It was in fact a standard 75 mm gun, in large use by the Italian light artillery, mounted on a 60 cm Decauville narrow gauge wagon. The idea was that the gun could be pulled back in case of counter fire. This type of casemate was quite cheap, the most expensive being the 10 cm thick armoured plate. However it restricted both the elevation and the traverse of the gun.
