The front of the batterie Predilsattel, armed with three 12 cm guns in gun casemates. The first projects of the battery date from 1892 when the defense of the mountain pass had to be modernised. The construction started in 1897 and it was completed in 1899. However the design was outdated just a few years later. In 1915 it was disarmed, but nevertheless it was bombarded by the Italian artillery. This seriously damaged the battery. A few years ago all the vegetation around the battery was removed, giving a much better picture.
