The gorge of Werk VI, later renamed to Forte Ardietti by the Italians. It was one of the 15 forts that defended Peschiera. The forts were all built in the same period, between 1853 and 1861. The fort is dominated by the large redoubt in the gorge that housed most of its 612 men large garrison.
