It is sad, but truth: this is one of the most complete turrets of Antwerp. All the turrets were scrapped by the Germans to make shells of them. However they left some metal behind. In most cases the Belgians scrapped the few remains. Broechem was fortunate because the British army incorporated the fort in their base, so the metal was saved. These are the remains of the 15 cm turret.
